授業の内容
This course is concerned with social stratification in contemporary Japan. While after the Second World War in Japan a society emerged that strongly emphasized homogeneity, in recent years, this understanding has become increasingly challenged. Especially after the recession in the 1990s, different forms of social stratification became more apparent, while new ones emerged. This course investigates these forms of social stratification based on different factors, such as the labor market, education or gender.
