授業の内容

In this course, students will learn strategies and language learning skills needed to speak fluently. Fluency means that we will put less emphasis on grammatical accuracy and more emphasis on being able to communicate in real world situations (quickly and effectively).

High Priority:
Listening & speaking at high speeds.
Preparing speeches/presentations & handling a Q&A session.
Preparing written reports.
Elocution.
Vocabulary.
Reading facial expressions/understanding verbal nuances.
Being understood.

Low Priority:
Grammar.
Pronunciation(when it doesn't interfere with understanding.)
Punctuation.

授業の方法・事前準備学修・事後展開学修
Students will work by themselves or in pairs in order to complete tasks. Related strategies and language learning skills will be practiced while doing these tasks.

If the Covid-19 virus becomes a problem, we will have classes online using Zoom (or another program if needed). Class will be mostly discussion and very low stress. Grades will be based on submitted homework and a final paper. I understand not every student can attend the Zoom classes due to internet, data, etc. so please let me know by email if this is a problem and we will try to set something up.
