This course aims to strengthen the student’s ability in logical and critical thinking, and business problem solving, taking into consideration business ethics, from a truly global strategic perspective.

授業の内容  
This course discusses emerging topics about business and strategy in the globalized context. These topics include global business environment, international market entry modes, international management, strategies in emerging markets, strategies of latecomer multinational enterprises, catch-up strategies, as well as technological innovation, knowledge management, and entrepreneurship. The course combines the latest scholarly research and real-world business cases that reflect recent global developments. Students will be exposed to problems and challenges pertinent to these topics. Based on relevant management concepts and theories, students will be asked to provide alternative effective solutions and recommendations, and to justify them. The course aims to strengthen the student’s ability in logical and critical thinking, and problem solving, taking into consideration business ethics, from a truly global strategic perspective.
 
授業の方法・事前準備学修・事後展開学修  
The course will be taught by a combination of lectures, case studies, classroom discussion, and student presentations, using online Zoom. Students are required to complete a case research project of Asian enterprise doing business globally and a case research project of non-Asian enterprise doing business in Asia, and make presentation and discussion in the class.

The grading criteria are based on the student’s individual and group performance in the class presentation and discussion of assigned case studies and articles, and case research projects.

成績評価基準  
The grading standard is based on each student's total score as follows.
4[S] Accomplished beyond the attainment target, and evaluated as excellent (total score: 90% and above)
3[A] Accomplished beyond the attainment target (total score: between 80% and 89%)
2[B] Sufficiently accomplished the attainment target (total score: between 70% and 79%)
1[C] Accomplished the attainment target at minimum level (total score: between 60% and 69%)
0[F] Not accomplished the attainment target (total score: 59% and below)
